British U14 Championships
 8th March 2009 , Ipswich,UK

Report and Picture by Sue Snelgrove

The team of Toby Shouls, Sam Woodford, Matthew Liddiard, Hamish Carter, Josh Avallone and Isaac Glenn have regained the British U14 team championship title for Notts School of Gymnastics.   A fantastic team performance saw them win the title by 10 marks from South Essex and Leeds.   Toby came 4th, Sam 7th, Matt 9th, Hamish 11th, with Josh only doing 4 pieces and Isaac 2 (though both his scores counted for the team total).   Well done to the team and their coaches, Nick and Sergey!

We have now won this title 6 times in its 20 year history, more than any other club (Manchester won it 5 times in the 1990s).   We first won it in 1997, then again in 2000, followed by three consecutive years of 2004, 2005,2006 so it's nice to have the Bill Williams Trophy back again.   Historically, the very first team that won the trophy, Bush Harlow, was coached by Barry just before he moved to Nottingham.
